For more than fifty years, steute Technologies GmbH & Co. KG in Löhne has been developing and manufacturing switchgear, sensors and control units at the highest levels of quality and reliability. In addition to a wide range of standard products, our portfolio also contains numerous customised devices, including many series developed especially for use in extreme environments.

For the particularly high demands of wind power technology, steute products include position switches in stainless steel enclosures in protection class IP 66, as well as magnetic sensors for non-contact positioning tasks, which can be used in temperatures of down to -40 oC. Equally interesting are our wireless switching devices which work according to the "Energy Harvesting" principle and generate the energy they require to transmit signals self-sufficiently, i.e. from their surroundings. In energy plants this technology is particularly interesting for components which are difficult to access and/or moveable.

Another product focus is extremely robust and flexible control units for the man-machine interface. With these devices, steute can provide the field of wind power technology with high-quality and reliable switchgear for crucial "control points" in wind turbines. The devices incorporate various technologies (electromechanics, magnetic sensor technology, inductive sensor technology) and can be adapted to suit individual applications if required.

Over 200 employees work at steute, with branches and sales partners all over the world. Last year a spacious new development centre opened for business.
